Über Träume von niedrig strukturierten Patient:innen liegen vergleichsweise wenig wissenschaftliche Arbeiten vor. Nichtsdestoweniger haben Psychoanalytiker:innen immer wieder auf die bedeutsame Unterscheidung von „klassisch“ neurotischen Träumen und niedrig strukturierten Träumen hingewiesen. Dies gilt vor allem für den klinischen Umgang und den Inhalt, weniger hinsichtlich der Affektregulation innerhalb der Träume. Darüber hinaus ist ein psychoanalytisches Störungsverständnis von Borderline-Persönlichkeitsorganisation typischerweise mit traumatisierenden Objektbeziehungen und beeinträchtigter Affektregulation assoziiert. Vor diesem Hintergrund untersucht diese Studie deshalb die Beziehung zwischen dem manifesten Trauminhalt (insb. Affektregulation im Traum, operationalisiert mittels Zurich Dream Process Coding System) und dem Strukturniveau der Persönlichkeitsorganisation.

There is comparatively little scientific work on dreams of low-structured patients. Nevertheless, psychoanalysts have repeatedly pointed out the important distinction between ‘classic’ neurotic dreams and low-structured dreams. This applies above all to the clinical handling and content, and less to the regulation of affect within the dreams. Furthermore, a psychoanalytic understanding of borderline personality disorder is typically associated with traumatising object relations and impaired affect regulation. Against this background, this study therefore examines the relationship between the manifest dream content (in particular affect regulation in dreams, operationalised using the Zurich Dream Process Coding System) and the structural level of personality organisation.
