Die Entscheidung für oder gegen eine Elternschaft betrifft uns alle. Ob selbst getroffen oder nicht, markiert sie u.a. große Herausforderungen, tiefgreifende Veränderungen und abenteuerliche Wendungen in einem Leben. Analytiker:innen, insbesondere Frauen, betreten ein unbekanntes Feld der Sichtbarkeit in der analytischen Arbeit und sind hinter und auf der Couch mit einer Vielzahl an Emotionen und Dynamiken konfrontiert. In unserem 1. Beitrag zur Jahrestagung nach Gründung der AG im letzten Jahr möchten wir dieser Vielfalt zum Thema Elternschaft in der analytischen Arbeit einen Raum geben: Schwangerschaft hinter und auf der Couch, Vaterschaft und Mutterschaft, Verlust und Trauer, Kinderlosigkeit, Neid, Überforderung und natürlich auch Freude. Wir laden Sie ein mit uns Fallvignetten, die wir aus unserer Praxis mitbringen werden, zu diskutieren. Dabei kann es sowohl um die oben genannten inhaltlichen Fragen gehen als auch in den letzten 20 Minuten um Konsequenzen für den Umgang mit dem Thema in der DPG, um konkrete Umsetzungen, um die Bildung eigener Untergruppen und um Themen für zukünftige Veranstaltungen.

The risk of parenthood

The decision for or against parenthood affects us all. Whether we make it ourselves or not, it marks major challenges, profound changes and adventurous twists and turns in our lives. Analysts, especially women, enter an unknown field of visibility in analytical work and are confronted with a multitude of emotions and dynamics behind and on the couch. In our first contribution to the annual conference after the foundation of the working group last year, we would like to give space to this diversity on the topic of parenthood in analytical work: pregnancy behind and on the couch, fatherhood and motherhood, loss and grief, childlessness, envy, excessive demands and, of course, joy. We invite you to discuss with us case vignettes that we will bring along from our practice. This can be about the above-mentioned content-related questions as well as, in the last 20 minutes, about consequences for dealing with the topic in the DPG, about concrete implementations, about the formation of our own subgroups and about topics for future events.
